Borealys Games, a new Montreal-based studio made up of folks who’ve worked on titles like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Prince of Persia, announced their first title today.
Mages of Mystralia casts you as Zia, a girl who suddenly discovers a penchant for working magic in a world where its use has been banned. The game will challenge you to come up with your own spells as you adventure. The concept sounds similar to Magicka, but details on how the system works are as yet scarce.
There’s also a big name on the writing crew as Ed Greenwood, the creator of D&D’s Forgotten Realms and a prolific fantasy author, will be authoring the story.
