Nerdleaks, a website that leaks things that nerds want to know, has found a trademark and logo created by CD Projekt that was registered only three days ago. As we all know, E3 is filled with surprises, but a lot of those surprises seem to get leaked nowadays – Gwent is one of those spoiled surprises. The full name for the game is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.
A few weeks ago, CD Projekt confirmed that they would not be making any Witcher titles for at least the next six years. Gwent, while Witcher related, definitely isn’t a Witcher game.
If you haven’t played Gwent before, you may be incredibly disappointed to know that it is in fact a card game! Yes, the developers of The Witcher series have created a card game inside an action RPG. They put a game in your game so you can game while you game. Thanks, CD Projekt! We hope the game will be coming to mobile devices, because technically Gwent is already available on PC and consoles.
