Syberia 3 is on the way next year, the first entry in the vaguely steampunk-fantasy flavoured cult adventure series since 2004.
Developer, comic artist and series creator Benoit Sokal, along with the team at Microids, has released a teaser trailer that mainly functions as a kind of retrospective, but also contains a few pieces of concept art form the upcoming game.
Syberia 3 has been in development for a while, but it had a pretty major presence at this year’s Gamescom, suggesting that the team is nearing completion on the project. Fans will be hoping that the game isn’t scrapped again, as appeared to be the case back in 2011. After numerous issues with funding, development restarted in late 2012, and here we are.
The game is set for release sometime in 2016.
