Rocket League received a pretty hefty update earlier this month which added the first season of ranked play to Psyonix’ addictive car football game, and more new content is on the way.
Revenge of the Battle-Cars, which sounds like the greatest 1980’s action movie that was never made, adds two new cars as well as tonnes of new decals and items to decorate your chosen vehicle with.
The two new rides – the Scarab and the Zippy – are actually taken from Psyonix’ previous game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Which was kind of a first run at the Rocket League concept.
At the same time as the DLC goes live, players will also recieve a new, free patch. It will add new versions of maps Urban Station and Utopia Coliseum, as well as some new cosmetic bits and pieces.
“These variants are the last “regulation-style” maps you’ll see for while, by the way, as our next few arenas after that will focus on more “unusual” layouts and settings (more on those later this year),” writes the studio.
Revenge of the Battle-Cars launches later this October, and will set you back $3.99 .
