Gamers looking forward to the next Deus Ex game, Mankind Divided, will have to wait a little longer than expected, as Eidos Montreal head David Anfossi has revealed that the release date has been pushed from February to August.
According to Anfossi in a statement, playtesting the game has made the studio realize that the game isn’t up to snuff yet. In the statement, he wrote that ”we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards.”
Anfossi then apologized to gamers and asked them to remain patient. He stressed the game was a major part of the developer’s lives and that they refused to compromise on quality.
The new targeted release date for the game, which is being published by Square Enix, is 23 August 2016, and will be released on PC and next-gen consoles.
