Ubisoft has opened up public applications for an upcoming Rainbow Six: Siege closed Alpha, which will let players loose in the game’s five versus five multiplayer mode.
Said closed Alpha is PC-only and limited to just North America and Europe. You’ll also need to have a registered Uplay account to take part.
Rainbow Six: Siege was first shown off at E32014, a tactical shooter with a focus on hostage rescue and strategic demolition – rather than blowing up everything in sight, breaching charges can be used to create unexpected openings and flank unsuspecting targets.
It looked pretty great, and anyone like me who remembers spending hours hunting down terrorists in early Rainbow Six games will get a kick out of seeing the franchise go back to its tactical roots.
The Rainbow Six: Siege closed Alpha is “coming soon” according to Ubisoft. No word on an exact date just yet.
