Brian Fargo and inXile Entertainment has released an extended gameplay trailer for Wasteland 2 after their big game update for the beta version of the RPG. Much has changed since its Early Access launch.
Over 2,000 fixes were included in the new update, including new areas to visit and a great overhaul of the UI. New animations and destructible environments were included as well.
The beta build contained less than a third of the full game as inXile drip feed more and more to sift through all the feedback from testers. There’s lots left to do.
The team would also like to remind Rangers that their existing save games will be broken with the latest beta.
”The most immediate difference you’ll notice will of course be the updates character and inventory screens. Other than just looking better the new inventory adds a lot of functionality such as an all-party inventory and direct mouse-over comparisons between an item with your currently equipped item (by holding shift).”
”The second big thing is the addition of the fifth major location in Arizona, the Prison, which was formerly the Ranger Center, now taken over by a rival militia. Ranger Team Echo heads into the Prison in search of ways into Damonta, a town seemingly unreachable beyond a radiation wall.”
Wasteland 2 is available through Steam Early Access for £34.99.
