Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Watch Dogs topping 9 minutes as they explain the multiplayer features for the open world game, from the seamless drop-in/out hack-stalking to 8 vs. 8 deathmatch.
They also touch on the companion app (see what I did there?) and how it effects the game world. Single and multiplayer occupy the same world in Watch Dogs, which can be turned off.
Previews for Ubisoft’s new IP are beginning to spread like wildfire as embargoes get lifted. Already there are teasing shots of a ‘spider tank’ we’ll be coming across in the game.
Multiplayer works by having your Aiden Pearce appear as he should but players presented as any other NPC in the world, and vice versa. This is how the Ubisoft team make other players hacking you such a challenge, and thrill yourself to try and accomplish. It’s similar to how Assassin’s Creed multiplayer works where players appear as NPCs.
Watch Dogs releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 May 27th.
