World of Diving is a game about exploring the ocean floor with little more than a set of scuba gear and a camera. No harpooning sharks or battling giant squid, just you and your friends swimming about looking at stuff.
And the latest content update for the Early Access title adds another undersea area to investigate, namely the wreck of the German battleship Bismarck.
The Bismarck was part of the German navy in World War Two, and one of the largest vessels of its time. It sank the British cruiser HMS Hood on its maiden voyage, but was hunted down and destroyed by a fleet of Royal Navy warships in the North Atlantic before it could make it back to port.
”Bismarck, being a huge battleship, is a wreck that you will be able to enter to explore her inner structure to a much greater extend than any other wreck you’ve seen up until now,” reveals developer Vertigo Games.
The new update also adds an ROV (remote operated vehicle), that you can use to light up the interior of sunken ships. Players who complete a daily mission in the new Bismarck level before Monday 12AM PST will unlock the ROV for free. After that it will be a paid-for object in the game’s store.
