Bioware recently did a Q&A session for Raptr regarding Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the key snippets of information revealed have been gathered by a helpful Tumblr user.
As well as some interesting facts about combat, character creation and followers, there’s the earth-shattering news that you’ll be able to ”hug some of your companions”. Astonishing.
There’s a whole heap of new info which you can read through here, but I’ve gathered the key snippets below:
-
Character creation is pretty in-depth, down to the fact you can choose one color for the outer part of the iris and a different color for the inner iris.
-
Qunari inquisitors will be taller than humans, but not as tall as your Quanari follower Iron Bull. They’ve got customisable horns and apparently “use something other than helmets/hats”.
-
You can’t simply boost your companion’s approval by showering them with gifts. The system has changed to react more to what you do and say, so helping characters fulfill their goals will make them like you more.
-
You can only have one combat specialisation.
-
The Knight Enchanter specialisation is intended to let mages get up close in combat, but it’s more aggressive and less tank-like than the Gragon Age: Origins Arcane Warrior class.
-
No flying mounts, and no capes. Damn it.
There’s plenty of other information on there regarding romances, base and HQ choices and so on, so if you’re interested in Inquisition it’s worth having a read through. There’s no major plot spoilers, but it does mention a few characters from previous Dragon Age who will or won’t be returning, so if you’d prefer that to remain a secret you might want to give it a miss.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is coming to PC and consoles this October.
