The office of UK developers Hello Games has been damaged by heavy flooding. Based in Guildford, the development team are currently working on No Man’s Sky, the highly anticipated procedural space-sim unveiled at the Spike VGX show.
In a series of tweets posted on Christmas Day, Hello Games described the damage caused.
A river broke its bank nearby yesterday, and A LOT of water flooded in really quickly. A biblical amount. It was coming in the windows!

We've lost most things - PCs, monitors, furniture, a door, a wall. You'd think the massive water cooled mega PC would be ok? It was not :(

Bad news for the four-person team , whose office was uninsured against flood damage, but they are remaining optimistic.
Happy New Year and all that. Thanks to *everyone* for being so supportive. Our spirits are undampened... everything else is really wet :)
