According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, those big film executives over at MGM and GK Films are to begin development of the third adaptation of Lady Croft to the silver screen immediately.
GK Films were granted the rights to the license by Square Enix. No casting has yet been announced with Angelina Jolie unlikely to return. It’s an opportune moment for a reboot, much like the game.
Graham King, founder of GK Films, is to serve as producer. Eidos Montreal’s Tomb Raider sold 3.4 million in four weeks, but was a ‘failure’ in Square Enix’s fiscal eyes.
