Sega has announced a new series of novels based on Creative Assembly’s Total War: Rome II title, penned by David Gibbins. The first book in the series will be released alongside the game in September 2013.
According to Sega, ”The story follows Fabius Petronius Secundus – Roman legionary and centurion – and his rise to power; from his first battle against the Macedonians, that seals the fate of Alexander the Great’s Empire, to total war in North Africa and the harrowing events of the Siege of Carthage.”
Book publisher Pan Macmillan along with US sister company, Thomas Dunne Books, won the rights to publish the series last October 2012.
The first novel in the series will also be localised into Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Hungarian. Gamers can preorder the book directly at the official book site here.
