Team 17 announced today that it’s re-entering the third-party publishing arena after an aperture of almost two decades.
Team 17 is perhaps best known for developing the worms franchise, but when the publisher started out almost 23 years ago, it was known for publishing classics such as Alien Breed, Project-X, Superfrog, Super Stardust and many more.
The first title to be signed by Team 17 is indie game Light, developed by Brighton based studio Just a Pixel. The game is currently on Steam Greenlight and will be funded by Team17’s publishing team.
Light is described as an action stealth infiltration game where you’ll find yourself hacking systems, knocking out guards and evading countless enemies in small environments. Opponents can be stunned or killed and dragged around. Unhidden bodies and blood trails attract guard reinforcements, so the aim will be to sneak past guards and cameras or attempt to take out everyone without being caught.
