Blizzard is hard at work on Starcraft II expansion Heart of the Swarm. One feature that many players want to see included is LAN support. Unfortunately, this doesn’t look likely.
Kim continued by suggesting LAN isn’t something the developer has ever considered.
”It’s really just about our philosophy of how we’re trying to make the game,” Kim said. ”Like you said we do have an offline mode where you can play the campaign mode, where you can play the AI without having to be connected to the internet.”
Starcraft 2 is available now, and its Heart of the Swarm DLC is said to be coming out ”very soon,” according to Kim.
