Players get disconnected ”after one to two hours of gameplay,” and that’s obviously ”not acceptable” for an open beta. The closed group gets to test the fix.
”We have come across a new player disconnection issue that cropped up in the last 48 hours that has made us put a temporary hold on the launch of Open Beta until further notice,” posted the APB Reloaded team on their developer blog.
”The issue manifests itself in disconnecting some groups of players after one to two hours of gameplay, which clearly is not acceptable in Open Beta.” Recently it was announced that former Realtime Worlds boss Dave Jones, creator of APB, was a project advisor.
The team are ”clearly disappointed” the public beta launch has been delayed, ”but in the end we strongly believe that first addressing this issue is the most critical and important step we can take as a development team.” A special ”goodie-pack” is in the works for the closed beta testers as a thank you for all the hard work.
Will you be joining that public beta for APB Reloaded, videogamer?
