It’s a ”huge team across many studios” that work together to build Revelations, and they want a ”90-plus game.” Revelations will be revealing ”a lot of the answers”.
”Production itself takes about a year, but keep in mind we’ve planned it far in advance,” said Alexandre Amancio in an interview with GameInformer.
”It’s not like a hundred people crunching it for a year. It’s a huge team across many studios with different types of expertise and we fit them all together,” he added. ”We always aim for a 90-plus game.” Many thought Brotherhood was being rushed - it’s a high achiever.
Ubisoft Montreal is the primary lead for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations what with their huge 2000+ employee roster to call upon. Ubisoft Québec, Annecy and Bucharest are also lending their aid with Singapore and Massive completing the set of six studios.
”We decided to give players a lot of the answers they’ve been waiting for since AC II,” Amancio said. ”Things with Minerva, Juno, a lot of details of the end of the world plotline in 2012. As we get closer and closer to the actual 2012 marker, the franchise is concluding its major opus.” Brotherhood was left at quite the cliff-hanger.
”We’re going to reveal a lot of stuff about the first civilisation storyline, the Ezio and Altair storylines and explain why Ezio is so important to the franchise… What role Altair plays in that destiny, and how Desmond fits in,” teased the creative director.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this November.
