A slice of the Gears of War 3 campaign has been showed off at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
The footage was presented by Cliff Bleszinski and rap star and Gears cast member Ice-T. Bleszinski stated that “it’s been two years” since the last game “and a lot has changed. Jacinto has fallen.”
The brief demo shows Marcus and crew on a huge boat which is being ripped a part by an enormous sea creature.
The crew run up deck and don what is dubbed as “walking cover” - beefy, metallic suits that look like miniature mechs.
The creature is eventually defeated as Cole drops a crate filled with ticker mines onto its head.
The game looks pretty similar to the previous two instalments, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
