They will have an announcement ”about this soon.” Unless it’s posted on MyCrysis, or came from ‘Cry-Tom’ himself, ”then it’s not official.” It does have DirectX 11.
Crytek recently confirmed that PC Crysis 2 does support DirectX 11, which Nvidia blabbed about when blurbing their latest line of fancy new GeForce cards. ”These minimum specs are not official or final,” posted community man Cry-Tom on the forums.
”…we’ll have an announcement about this soon. Please note if you didn’t hear it from me/see it on MyCrysis, then it’s not official,” he added.
The minimum specs were reported as:
- Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
-
Nvidia 8800 GT or higher
-
2 GB RAM
-
Windows XP/Vista/7
-
9 GB free hard disk space
-
Internet connection
Crytek will be releasing a pre-launch Crysis 2 demo for PC. It releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 22nd in the US, and on the 25th in Europe.
