The mood of the 200 or so staff ”really lifted” after a meeting revealed the suitors. They’re still ”on consultation” for a while but ”things look much better “.
Activision has officially put Bizarre up for sale and that understandably plunged the developers of the studio, about 200, in to a very glum mindset. However a second major meeting with staff revealed they’ve already got potential buyers.
”That meeting really lifted the mood here, I think, because we’ve been told that there’s multiple parties interested in buying us,” an anonymous source revealed.
”We are still on consultation for ninety days,” he added, “but things look much better than they did last night or this morning,” they continued. “Things here are changing at such a quick pace.” The source wouldn’t name any of the studios interested.
Someone else however noted Microsoft is itching its wallet. ”Microsoft aren’t stupid,” he said, “they know we’re talented and have spoken to Activision about us.” Getting Bizarre Creations under the Microsoft Game Studios umbrella sure would help their Project Gotham Racing revival plans, seeing as how Bizarre created the franchise.
We anxiously await, just like Bizarre itself, the outcome of these meetings.
