Demon’s Souls and Mass Effect 2 were ”both great” too and they believe they know why and how decisions were made. Don’t forget Peggle!
”This is an amazing industry and we take inspiration from all sorts of games,” said senior design director, Josh Atkins from Lionhead. Fable is a ‘melting pot’.
”Demon’s Souls and Mass Effect 2 were both great titles and we definitely think what decisions they made and why we think they made them.” It’s not just RPGs that have held sway over the studio’s decisions moving forward.
”Drake’s was a brilliant game that was an amazing combination of cinema and gameplay,” he added. This latest Fable has gone more in the direction of action and storytelling than its predecessors, but still retains Fable’s core simulation appeal.
”Peggle is still one of the most satisfying and fun games to play while We Rule has a lot of good ideas on how two players can share experiences between two different ‘kingdoms.’” Fable III releases on Xbox 360 October 29th, and on PC sometime later.
