Thanks to the way Xbox Live Arcade works, having the full retail or just a demo of MW2 gives users access to download full SNK titles completely free.
The extremely unpredicted bug gives Modern Warfare 2 players access to 5 SNK Playmore titles for absolutely nothing because of the way XBLA works with registering to accounts. The glitch from Infinity Ward’s game forces the trial versions into running fully.
The XBLA titles believe you’re authorised to play the full versions. This weird glitch only appears to effect SNK titles when linked with Modern Warfare 2. So if you own MW2 and feel like some free Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The King of Fighters ‘98 Ultimate Match, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug XX and Samurai Showdown II - you’d best hurry before it’s fixed!
It’s almost like Infinity Ward has been ‘pirating’ SNK titles…
