Askarieh brought Eidos’ Hitman IP to cinema, and a sequel is in motion. He’s also busy with Kane & Lynch, starring Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx.
It’s been mentioned before that Just Cause might end up on the silver screen thanks to its Hollywood friendly style of action and totally over the top heroics. Screenwriter Michael Ross is behind the script of the game having penned Blood Surf and Turistas.
Right now the project is being shopped around studios to see who wants a piece of US agent Rico Rodriguez and his particular skill in taking out dodgy island regimes. Just Cause 2 released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC earlier in the year.
So far only Hitman has left the shelter of Eidos (now owned by Square Enix) and made it to cinema. What do you think of the upcoming Kane & Lynch flick, videogamer?
