The publishing boss also proclaims they have no ”impediment to being profitable” in a given year now, as Grand Theft Auto isn’t their only avenue.

”It’s kind of irrelevant to us — basically the same gross margin, basically the same risk.” They’re also no longer at the mercy of Grand Theft Auto releases in a given fiscal year, although they surely don’t hurt any when it’s time to count the coffers.
“We don’t have any structural impediment to being profitable in a given year,” said Zelnick. They now have Red Dead and BioShock to see fruitful labours. Next year also sees the release of Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire and Duke Nukem Forever.
Admittedly Rockstar remains their top earner. Grand Theft Auto V is rumoured to be set in Hollywood, or Vinewood as their naming parody goes in GTA: San Andreas.
